We must see the cross as the "door" in which we pass through and leave behind all bondages, guilt, condemnation, sickness, and hurt. In John 10:9 Jesus says, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." (NKJV)  1 Corinthians 1:18 says, "For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." When we come to the cross we meet our Savior and are restored to a right relationship with God and man. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."(NASB) The "Encounter Retreat" is a three day retreat that focuses on overcoming your past so you are free to pursue your future with God and be restored to right relationships with the people in your life.
